The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) strongly criticizes the state government for its failure to release a job calendar every year on January 1, as pledged in its election manifesto for the past five consecutive job-calendar years.
In a symbolic protest, the TDP youth wing erected a ‘Job Calendar Samadhi’ on Tuesday. Led by Telugu Yuvatha State General Secretary A. Ravi Naidu, members paid tributes at the mock site, representing the ‘buried future of the youth.’
The activists lamented the government’s inability to release a job calendar, emphasizing a profound letdown for educated and unemployed youth. They pointed out that despite promises made by the opposition leader, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, to fill 2.35 lakh vacant government posts and conduct Mega DSC for 25,000 teaching positions, among other commitments, the government has failed to announce a job calendar for the fifth consecutive year.
Tirupati parliamentary constituency in-charge Krishna Yadav, State Secretary R.P. Srinivasulu, and State Spokesperson Perumal Madhubabu expressed that the unemployed youth would voice their dissatisfaction at the upcoming elections, teaching the ruling YSCRP a significant lesson.
