YCP social media: The primary objective of a dedicated social media wing within any political party is to disseminate content that garners support for the party and counters opposition in the face of false allegations, negative campaigns, or misrepresentations.
However, the current trajectory of the YCP social media wing appears to be counterproductive.
When Alla Ramakrishna Reddy parted ways with the YCP, the social media wing directed trolls at him. A leader once held dear suddenly transformed into an enemy and became the subject of online harassment.
Similarly, upon Sharmila’s decision to join the Congress, the social media wing distanced her and subjected her to trolling, disregarding her relationship with Jagan Mohan Reddy.
More recently, Ambati Rayudu, who expressed views against the YCP, found himself targeted by trolling.
What is even more regrettable is the wing’s inclination to pick up perceived mistakes from Revanth Reddy’s interview with ABN Radhakrishna and engage in trolling against him.
The question arises: what is the purpose of these actions? Will it contribute to securing votes for the YCP? Is there any utility in targeting individuals unnecessarily?
Instead of focusing on those who leave the party or did not receive tickets from Jagan, the social media wing should channel its efforts into generating meaningful content without wasting valuable time. Criticizing mistakes and indulging in superfluous activities during a crucial period could potentially have a negative impact on the overall situation. A more strategic and constructive approach is needed for the social media wing to effectively contribute to the party’s goals.
