Following widespread complaints about the distribution of counterfeit liquor during the tenure of the YSR Congress government, the Andhra Pradesh CID has begun taking action against the previous liquor policy Raids have commenced at the residence of AP Beverages MD, Vasudeva Reddy, in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.
There are claims against Vasudeva Reddy that during Jagan‘s tenure as chief minister, he orchestrated the sale of poisoned wine. Opposition parties like TDP and Janasena have been claiming for a long time that he is actively involved in profitable spirits enterprises that support Jagan’s regime.
Under Reddy’s direction, the CID is investigating the marketing tactics of spirits brands; in particular, it is keeping a close eye on the establishment of new businesses and the distribution of fake spirits products. Using the same approach as the previous skill scam case against Chandrababu Naidu, this inquiry focuses on alleged misconduct in the spirits sector and raises the possibility that senior YSR Congress leaders are involved.
