In the upcoming AP Elections 2024 a huge feeling wins in Uttarandhra. The party securing the most seats here historically forms the government. Both TDP and YCP anticipate victory but on-ground analysis suggests favorable prospects for the alliance. YSP pins hopes on Visakhapatnam’s capital status and welfare schemes for an edge.
Uttarandhra comprises 34 assembly constituencies, with Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, and Srikakulam districts hosting 15, 19, and 10 seats respectively. In the last election YCP clinched 28 seats while TDP managed only six. Yet, the alliance projects confidence in securing majority seats this time. In Vizag, alliance prospects brighten, with TDP-Janasena alliance poised to expand beyond previous limitations.
Similarly, in Vizianagaram, where YCP dominated last time, TDP presents formidable competition, aiming to secure the majority. The trend extends to Srikakulam, where TDP targets all ten seats, aiming to reverse previous losses. Alliance leaders seem confident despite small doubts, but disillusionment seems to be creeping into the ranks of the ruling party.
