The official results for the Andhra Pradesh assembly election, along with the 2024 Lok Sabha poll results, will be announced on June 4. However, exit polls indicate that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is likely to win big.
On Saturday, various exit polls suggested a strong showing for the YSRCP. The Centre for Politics and Policy Studies predicted that the party would win between 95 and 105 seats in the 175-member Andhra Pradesh assembly, while the TDP-BJP-JanaSena alliance is expected to get 75-85 seats.
Aaraa Poll Strategies Private Limited also forecasted a victory for the ruling YSRCP, estimating they would win 94-104 seats. The opposition alliance might secure 71-81 seats. Atma Sakshi SAS similarly predicted a win for Jagan Reddy’s party, projecting they would win 98-116 seats.
Despite these strong predictions for the YSRCP, some exit polls suggested a possible win for the TDP-BJP-JanaSena alliance. People’s Pulse projected that the TDP, led by former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, could win 95-110 seats, with its allies JanaSena winning 14-20 seats and the BJP 2-5 seats.
The elections for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and the Lok Sabha were held on May 13. The excitement builds as the official results will be declared on June 4, deciding the future political scenario of Andhra Pradesh.
