A tragic incident took place in Chinaganj, Gosanapudi and Nilayapalem villages of Bapatla district Andhra Pradesh when 40 people were returning home from Hyderabad after casting their votes. They were boarding an Aravinda Private Travels bus for their return trip.
The tragedy took place late at 1:30 am when a tipper collided with their bus near Pasumaru village in Chilakaluripet district. The impact caused the bus to catch fire almost immediately. Passengers who were asleep at the time of the crash found themselves in a state of shock.
Five people, including the bus driver, lost their lives in the fire in the chaos that followed. In addition, twenty passengers sustained serious injuries and had to be rushed to hospital.
The community is shocked and saddened by this incident. Families are facing the loss of loved ones, and the injured are receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash and prevent a similar tragedy in the future.
