Andhra Pradesh Governor S. Abdul Nazeer has extended an invitation to National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu to assume the position of Chief Minister. Naidu was chosen unanimously by the leaders of the NDA parties.
The leaders of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and Jana Sena Party (JSP) as well as other NDA representatives presented the governor with a resolution confirming Naidu’s leadership.
On Wednesday, Chandrababu Naidu will take the oath of office as chief minister during a ceremony in Vijayawada close to Gannavaram Airport. The event will be attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other dignitaries.
The alliance between the TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP emerged victorious, winning 164 of 175 Assembly seats and 21 of 25 Lok Sabha seats.
