Prajwal Revanna Sex Video Case: The mother of the prime accused in the sex video case, Prajwal Revanna, awaits clarity on Tuesday regarding the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) plans concerning her potential arrest.
Bhavani Revanna, a former Zilla Panchayat member in Hassan, has sought anticipatory bail in the case linked to the alleged kidnapping of a victim in the sex video controversy.
Earlier, the SIT arrested Bhavani’s husband, JD(S) MLA HD Revanna, who is currently out on conditional bail.
Bhavani filed the petition in court on Monday, with the SIT expected to file objections on Tuesday.
Notably, the SIT had issued a notice for Bhavani to appear for questioning but did not specify the Section under which she was summoned.
Apprehensive of arrest, Bhavani faces charges of complicity in the kidnapping.
The SIT uncovered call details between Bhavani and the second accused, Satish Babu, in the kidnapping case, having issued two notices to her thus far.
Regarding the possibility of arrest, Home Minister Dr G Parameshwara stated, “The SIT is executing their duties. I cannot disclose all their actions publicly. We’ve entrusted the SIT with a mandate, and they’re acting within the bounds of the law.”
On the death of the complainant who filed a POCSO case against former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Dr Parameshwara mentioned, “The report indicates she was admitted to the hospital a week ago due to cancer, and she passed away.
