In a heartfelt request, famous filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli has asked that Ramoji Rao Garu be given the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award. Rajamouli pointed out that Ramoji Rao’s hard work and innovation over the past fifty years have provided jobs, livelihoods, and hope to millions.
Ramoji Rao Garu has made a huge impact in media, entertainment, and tourism. His creation of Ramoji Film City, the world’s largest film studio, changed the Indian film industry and created many jobs for artists, technicians, and support staff.
“Giving Ramoji Rao Garu the Bharat Ratna is the least we can do to recognize his incredible contributions,” Rajamouli said. “His work has empowered millions and boosted economic growth, showing his great vision and dedication.”
