Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is seeking a third term, arrived in Kanyakumari on Thursday evening and is expected to head back to Delhi on June 1.
New images and videos show PM Modi meditating at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. He is seen in deep meditation in front of a statue of Swami Vivekananda. PM Modi is meditating at Dhyan Mandapam, the same spot where Swami Vivekananda meditated in 1892 to envision India’s future.

The memorial is at the meeting point of the Indian Ocean, the Bay of Bengal, and the Arabian Sea. BJP leaders say that meditating in Kanyakumari sends a strong message of national unity.
With the Lok Sabha elections, spread over seven phases, concluding on June 1, PM Modi’s visit to Kanyakumari is seen as an important move. The vote counting will be on June 4.
This isn’t the first time PM Modi has taken a spiritual retreat before an election. Before the 2019 Lok Sabha election results, he went on a similar journey to Uttarakhand and was seen meditating in a holy cave near Kedarnath.
The BJP has shared inspiring pictures of PM Modi meditating at the memorial, showing him in a peaceful and reflective state. These images and videos aim to inspire and convey a message of calm and thoughtfulness during the election period.
