Actor Ajay Devgan, who made a powerful statement with Maidaan a sports drama biopic is now ready with the next films that portray the cricketer Baloo Palwankar. This revelation was done by the film producer Priti Sinha on the social media platform and created a buzz amongst the audience on 29 th May 2023.
By teaming up with director Tigmanshu Dhulia, Devgn along with Sinha will get set to present the excitement and struggle of the inherent story of Palwankar Baloo, the man known as India’s first Dalit cricketer.
Who knew that the story of Bhola ‘Baloo’ Pal the Indian Olympic cricketer immortalized in Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book,’ was waiting to be explored and retold as a compelling drama with music in the style of ‘A Corner Of A Foreign Field by celebrated historian Ramchandra Guha. In a nutshell, the inspirational journey from groundsman of a Pune cricket club to entering the Hindu Gymkhana cricket team as a player in 1896 was truly remarkable for Baloo.
