The most popular actor from Telugu movies Naga Chaitanya made his Hindi language film debut in 2022 with Laal Singh Chaddha where he starred opposite Aamir Khan in the lead role.The movie was not a big hit in the box office but Chaitanya played the role of Balaraju very well with great devotion as Aamir Khan friend.
The response Chaitanya has received to this film has been positive but does not mean he is signing films left and right. The young scion of the Akkineni family recently spoke about his plans and preference to act in a Bollywood film. He quite frankly revealed that despite the many doors that Bollywood was opening for him he settled for Laal Singh Chaddha because of his fervent admiration for Aamir Khan. Chaitanya expressed that he is not trying to land roles in Bollywood movies in the immediate future I will definitely look out for movies with good content and roles in Hindi he concluded.
He knows the need for such crossover influence well since a good number of his Telugu films are dubbed in Hindi and have a sizeable following among Hindi-speakers. Chaitanya at this time is trying to select projects that he is passionate about. He categorically states his return to Hindi cinema only if he finds a script calibrated both in content and with an interesting story. After leaving the South Indian film industry Chay will make a successful comeback in the film industry with great movies and worth the wait.
