Kavitha Bail Case: On Friday the Delhi High Court conducted a hearing regarding the bail petitions of BRS MLC Kavitha in the Delhi liquor policy case. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed its counter-petition while the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has requested additional time. The ED opposes Kavitha’s bail.

The CBI informed the court of its intent to file a counter-petition by May 27 and a chargesheet by June 7. Meanwhile the ED lawyers expressed readiness for arguments. However, the judge indicated prioritizing other listed cases.

Arguments Postponed to Monday

The High Court postponed arguments on Kavitha’s bail petition in the ED case to Monday. The court instructed the ED to furnish details of the counter-petition to Kavitha’s lawyer by Sunday evening. Consequently, arguments were deferred to Monday.
