First-Time MLAs: Jana Sena Party leader and actor Pawan Kalyan, along with Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Secretary Nara Lokesh, are among the 81 new faces in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
Nearly half of the newly-elected MLAs in Andhra Pradesh are first-timers, with several prominent figures making their debut.
Former Union ministers Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy and Sujana Chowdary are also among those entering the 175-member House for the first time.
The majority of the fresh faces come from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which secured 135 seats in the recent elections.
Of the 21 new MLAs from Jana Sena, 15 are newcomers, reflecting a significant turnover in the political landscape.
After facing defeat in previous elections, Pawan Kalyan secured victory from the Pithapuram seat, while Lokesh won from the Mangalagiri constituency, following in his father N Chandrababu Naidu’s footsteps.
Among the new BJP MLAs are former Union minister Sujana Chowdary and Kotla Jaya Surya Prakash Reddy, who won on a TDP ticket.
Other notable debutants include Gouthu Sireesha, Aditi Vijayalakshmi Gajapathi Raju, K Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, and N. Kishan Kumar Reddy, among others, marking a significant shift in Andhra Pradesh’s political landscape.
From various constituencies across the state, these fresh faces bring new perspectives and hopes for the future of Andhra Pradesh’s governance.
