PM Modi and New Ministers Take Oath Amid Grand Celebrations

Today marks a historic moment as Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes the oath for his third term, a milestone last achieved by Jawaharlal Nehru. The grand ceremony, held at Rashtrapati Bhawan in Delhi, will be led by President Droupadi Murmu. Ahead of this event, Modi met with his new ministers and allies to finalize cabinet decisions during a marathon 11-hour meeting at his residence.

To ensure safety, a three-tier security system has been set up. Commandos from Delhi Police’s SWAT and NSG are stationed at key points, and Delhi is a no-fly zone, with strict bans on drones and other aerial devices for the next few days.

Reflecting India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, leaders from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Mauritius, Seychelles, and the Maldives are attending. These dignitaries are being escorted via designated routes to and from their hotels and the venue.

The ceremony features numerous prominent figures, including:
– Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu
– Veteran actor Rajinikanth
– Andhra Pradesh CM designate N Chandrababu Naidu meeting BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi
– Industrial magnate Gautam Adani
– Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar and Shahrukh Khan
– Newly-elected MP Kangana Ranaut
– OLA CEO Bhavish Aggarwal sharing his excitement on social media

Political Leaders and Well-Wishers
BJP leaders like Nirmala Sitharaman, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Ashwini Vaishnaw are present to support the new government. Former Prime Minister and JD(S) patron HD Deve Gowda congratulated PM Modi, expressing regret over his inability to attend due to health reasons but reaffirming his admiration for India’s democratic strength.

Stay tuned for more live updates as PM Modi and his new cabinet embark on their journey for this historic third term.
