The third season of Bigg Boss OTT is about to kick off, with Anil Kapoor stepping in as the new host, replacing Salman Khan.
After much anticipation and teasers hinting at a host change, Jio Cinema has officially announced that Anil Kapoor will be hosting Bigg Boss OTT Season 3. The announcement came on Thursday, along with a poster and the show’s streaming date.
In previous seasons, Karan Johar hosted the first, followed by Salman Khan in the second. Jio Cinema shared on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, “Introducing Anil Kapoor as the new host for Bigg Boss OTT 3! From dominating the big screen to now taking over the Bigg Boss house, @AnilKapoor is truly special! Catch his magic in #BiggBossOTT3 starting June 21, exclusively on JioCinema Premium.”

Fans are thrilled about Anil Kapoor’s new role. One user wrote, “Welcome the great Anil Kapoor,” while another said, “Cannot wait.” Some fans mentioned they would miss Salman Khan as the host, and others are eager to know the contestants for Bigg Boss OTT 3. However, details will be revealed on June 21.
Sonam Kapoor shared a promotional video for Bigg Boss OTT 3 on her Instagram stories, saying, “They’ve got the most talented, hardworking, and handsome man onboard!”
VJ and actor Anusha Dandekar responded strongly to rumors about her joining the show. She clarified on her Instagram stories, “If you Google my name now, you’ll see lies about me and now another lie about Bigg Boss. I haven’t talked to anyone about it, and they wouldn’t call me because they know my answer is never. Just to clear things up, I should be paid for the PR! Everyone wants to use my name.”
Bigg Boss OTT’s first season aired in 2021 with Karan Johar hosting on Voot, and the second season, hosted by Salman Khan, streamed on Jio Cinema in 2023. Divya Agarwal and Elvish Yadav were the winners of the first two seasons. The third season will start streaming on Jio Cinema from June 21.
