Newly-elected MP from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut, reportedly faced an altercation with a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport on Thursday.
The incident occurred as Kangana was en route to New Delhi to join the other MPs for the upcoming session of the 18th Lok Sabha.
According to witnesses, Kangana was allegedly “slapped” by CISF constable Kulvinder Kaur during the boarding process of the Vistara flight UK707 from Chandigarh to New Delhi.
A video circulating online captures the chaos that ensued inside the airport following the incident.
Reports suggest that the altercation arose when Kangana declined to place her mobile phone in the tray for the mandatory security check. Subsequently, Kaur is said to have forcibly moved Kangana aside.
Eyewitnesses speculate that Kaur’s actions might have been influenced by Kangana’s previous comments regarding the farmer protests.
