On Friday, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah addressed queries regarding fugitive JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna’s family involvement in his case. Siddaramaiah countered former PM HD Deve Gowda’s warnings, suggesting Prajwal’s family is well aware of his whereabouts.
Responding to allegations, Siddaramaiah highlighted contradictions in statements made by Prajwal’s family members, indicating ongoing communication. Prajwal faces grave charges including rape sexual assault and recording illicit videos for coercion.
Clarifying his stance, Siddaramaiah emphasized Prajwal’s status as an accused, not a convicted criminal. He dismissed Kumaraswamy’s accusations of phone tapping as diversionary tactics urging respect for the law.
Siddaramaiah revealed efforts to revoke Prajwal’s passport expressing frustration over PM Modi’s silence. On the matter of his son, Dr. Yathindra’s potential MLC appointment, Siddaramaiah deferred to the high command’s decision, recounting their prior assurances and his own political maneuvers.
