The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana initiated raids on Tuesday at the properties of a senior police officer as part of a disproportionate assets case.

During the pursuit activity at the home and different areas of Hyderabad Focal Wrongdoing Station (CCS) Right Hand Chief of Police (ACP) Uma Maheswara Rao, the organization uncovered Rs 45 lakh in real money and 65 tolas of gold.

These searches were carried out simultaneously at multiple locations, with the ACB scrutinizing asset details and verifying property documents to ascertain any irregularities.

The ACB team also delved into the financial transactions of the officer during the search process.

The inquiry tasks spread over six spots inside Hyderabad and four others outside the city, including the homes of the ACP’s relatives.

The official is under a microscope for supposedly having resources unbalanced to his known types of revenue, alongside allegations of unfortunate behavior and maltreatment of his authority position.

Notably, Umamaheshwara Rao is the investigating officer in the Sahithi Infra fraud case, where the accused defrauded customers of Rs. 1,100 crore.
