Telangana New State Emblem: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy convened a meeting to finalize the new Telangana State emblem at his residence in Jubilee Hills Hyderabad. Noted artist Rudra Rajesam Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao, Professor Kodandaram Addaki Dayakar, JAC leader Raghu, CM’s advisor Vern Narender Reddy, MLAs, and others attended the review.

The new emblem aims to encapsulate the essence of the Telangana struggle and sacrifices. It is slated to be unveiled during the 10th state formation day celebrations on June 2, replacing the current emblem adopted in 2014.

The decision to replace the existing emblem which features Kakatiya Kala Thoranam and Charminar symbols of the Kakatiya and Qutb Shahi dynasties was made by the Congress government which assumed power in December 2023. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy seeks to replace it believing that the current emblem represents the aristocracy and dictatorship of past rulers.
