The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, capturing the IPL 2024 trophy after ten years. Following KKR’s triumph, SRH owner Kavya Maran was seen with tears in her eyes, cheering for the team’s performance in the last match.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kavya Maran is seen applauding with teary eyes after KKR’s win in the IPL 2024 Final. But midway, she stops, turns away from the camera, and wipes her tears.

Pat Cummins Reacts to Loss:
SRH captain Pat Cummins talked about the final loss, giving credit to his Australian teammate Mitchell Starc and admitting that KKR outplayed them.
“They bowled amazingly. Starcy did his thing again! We just didn’t have enough tonight, they outplayed us. You hope to hit some boundaries, but they bowled incredibly well and didn’t give us anything. Just like in Ahmedabad, it was a tricky pitch. If we had got 160, we felt we could have been in the game,” Cummins said.
Netizens React to Kavya Maran’s Tears:
One SRH fan, promising revenge for the loss against KKR, wrote, “Iska badla jaroor liya jaayega” (We will surely take revenge).

Another user wrote, “SRH played exceptionally well this season. The trophy is coming next season.”
In a funny twist, another user asked Pat Cummins not to take revenge against the Indian team at the World Cup for the IPL 2024 final loss, saying, “A small request to Pat Cummins, bhai iska badla World Cup me mat Lena please” (Please don’t take revenge in the World Cup, brother).
While Pat Cummins’ Australian team has beaten India in events like the ODI World Cup 2023 and the World Test Championship final, the T20 World Cup will see Mitchell Marsh as captain, with Cummins playing only as a bowler.
