Filmmaker Karan Johar has exciting news: Dhadak 2 is coming, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. This announcement arrives more than a year after Karan denied rumors about the film.

On Monday, Karan shared a motion poster on Instagram featuring Siddhant and Triptii. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 is set to release on November 22, 2024.The poster shows the characters embracing, hinting at a deep connection.

Motion Poster Sneak Peek
In the motion poster, Siddhant’s character says, “Jo sapna tum dekh rahi hoVidhi usme mere liye koi jagah nahi hai” (The dream you have, Vidhi, has no place for me).Triptii’s character responds, “Toh phir yeh bhi bata do Neelesh ki in feelings ka kya karun” (Then tell me, Neelesh, what should I do with these feelings?).
Karan and Siddhant Share Their Excitement
Karan captioned his post, “Yeh kahani hai thodi alag kyuki ek tha raja, ek thi raani, jaat alag thi, khatam kahani” (This story is a bit different because there was a king, there was a queen their castes were different… end of story).He added, “Presenting Dhadak 2 starring Siddhant Chaturvedi & Triptii Dimri.Directed by Shazia Iqbal.#Dhadak2 in cinemas 22nd November 2024.”
Siddhant also shared the poster, writing, “Ek raja, ek rani, ek kahaani, do dhadkane” (One king, one queen, one story two heartbeats).He added, “The film explores barriers of class and status, underscoring a narrative of love that can never be fulfilled. Or can it?”
The Original Dhadak
Dhadak, released in 2018, is a romance film directed by Shashank Khaitan. Co-produced by Karan Johar, it’s a remake of the Marathi movie Sairat. The film stars Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor and tells a powerful love story.
