Kiran Rao’s directorial venture ‘Laapataa Ladies’ has come as a streaming hit on Netflix during the weeks gone by leaving behind the highly awaited Sandeep Reddy Vanga film ‘Animal.’Some of the findings state that “Laapataa Ladies” have received as much as 13. 8 million views on the streaming platform within a single month of its release.
On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal’ has grossed 13. It has garnered six-million views since its release. What makes this comparison quite interesting is the fact that these two events were separated by quite long period of time. While “Animal” shot in theaters on December 1 of the previous year and then on Netflix on January 26, Laapataa Ladies earned the same number of streams in just 30 days.
Unfortunately, the excitement behind ‘Animal’ seems to have translated to ‘Laapataa Ladies’ finding an audience and becoming a streaming sensation in the shortest time possible.
