Richa Chadha talks about husband Ali Fazal emotional reaction to his wife’s dance performance in Heeramandi by Sanjay Leela BhansaliRicha, who initially entered the telly-wearld as Lajjo in the series, said that the shower of appreciation is showered over her where she performed the mujra-type scenes and the emotional ones. Sharing the fact about her husband, Richa answered , first had the pleasure of meeting him at the premiere and we were side by side in the car. she could not recall whether she had informed Ali in advance about her character’s demise because it has been some time since they shot the scenes in 2022, a year before their wedding.
Recollecting her conversation with Ali, she said The thing is he was very touched by the song I guess including that one-take where I’m sort of losing my mind and crying on the floor dancing. He said he enjoyed it a lot. Besides business struggles, Richa is in a happy-nest phase otherwise as she is pregnant with her first baby with Ali Fazal. but had a celebration a year later in 2022 and in a post in February announced that they were expecting a baby. Richa also revealed that when Aftab came to her to join Heeramandi she was given a different character but she exercised her choice for Lajjo as she found it challenging. When I was approached for the show, Sanjay sir was initially having some other part in mind where I would have more screen presence But as a actor I wanted a change hence opted for Lajjo character, Said Shruti.
