Chandrababu Naidu oath-taking ceremony as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has been rescheduled for June 12 instead of the initial date of June 9. This change was made to accommodate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inauguration for his third term, which is set for June 8.
Prem Kumar Jain, the TDP’s national spokesperson, confirmed the date change and mentioned that PM Modi and other leaders have been invited to attend the ceremony.
Initially planned for June 9, Naidu’s swearing-in ceremony was shifted to avoid a clash with PM Modi’s event. This adjustment highlights the significance of Naidu’s fourth term as Andhra Pradesh’s Chief Minister.
Chandrababu Naidu, an experienced leader, previously served as CM from 1995 to 2004 and returned to office after the state’s division in 2014. Following his five-year tenure, Jagan Mohan Reddy took over.
In the recent 2024 assembly elections, TDP secured a notable victory with 135 seats, supported by Jana Sena and BJP. Together, they reduced YSR Congress to just 11 seats.
Post-election, TDP made a commitment to revive Amaravati as Andhra Pradesh’s capital, a plan that was paused due to financial constraints. This decision reflects TDP’s dedication to the state’s development.
Despite the challenges, TDP remains steadfast in its vision for Andhra Pradesh’s progress, aiming to restore Amaravati’s status and advance the state’s growth.
